Fight Club

$400.00

Fight Club explores fractured identity, suppressed violence, and the internal war between control and collapse. The composition presents two opposing faces emerging from the same figure — one restrained, one unfiltered — locked in silent confrontation. This piece is not about chaos for spectacle; it’s about the psychological fracture that occurs when repression finally fails.

The imagery draws from themes of duality, masculinity, and internal rebellion. The figures are not portrayed as heroes or villains, but as inevitable counterparts — the self that conforms and the self that refuses. The burn texture amplifies this tension, with deliberate breaks and aggressive contrast reinforcing instability rather than polish.

This artwork is created entirely by hand from start to finish. The composition is redrawn freehand directly onto the wood — never traced, never transferred, never digitally replicated. Every line is burned manually, ensuring that no two executions can ever be identical. Even when revisiting the same subject, variations in pressure, grain interaction, and burn depth guarantee a singular physical result.

Burned into solid basswood using a handheld wood-burning tool, Fight Club required extensive hours of focused labor. The natural grain actively resists and redirects the burn lines, shaping the final image in ways that cannot be predicted or reproduced. This is not a print or reproduction — it is original handcrafted pyrography permanently etched into the wood.

Offered in a 12” × 18” format and available with White, Black, or Brown framing, Fight Club carries a raw visual presence suited for private collections, studios, offices, and gallery environments. It is confrontational by design.
