Find A Way
Find A Way confronts the moment where survival becomes a decision rather than a circumstance. The imagery centers on a lone Roman gladiator standing amid collapse — wounded, grounded, and still advancing. The figure is not framed in victory, but in resolve. The surrounding arena is fractured, yet the posture remains forward, reinforcing the idea that progress is made through endurance rather than certainty.
The inscription “Inveniam viam aut faciam” — I will find a way or make one — anchors the piece thematically. It is not presented as motivation, but as necessity. This work captures the space where willpower replaces outcome and persistence becomes the only remaining option.
This artwork is created entirely by hand from start to finish. The artist redraws the composition freehand for every burn — never traced, never mechanically transferred, never copied. Even when revisiting the same subject, each execution develops its own variations in line work, burn depth, and texture, ensuring every finished piece is a singular physical work.
Burned directly into solid basswood using a handheld wood-burning tool, this piece required extensive hours of focused, uninterrupted labor. The natural grain of the wood actively influences the final result, interacting with each burn line in ways that cannot be controlled or repeated. This is not a print or reproduction — it is an original wood-burned artwork permanently etched into the surface.
Offered in a 12” × 18” format and available with White, Black, or Brown framing, Find a Way carries a commanding visual presence suited for private collections, studios, offices, or gallery environments. It is meant to be confronted, not consumed casually.
No machines.
No shortcuts.
