Sleep Token
Sleep Token captures ritual, anonymity, and devotion — a masked figure suspended between reverence and ruin. The composition evokes secrecy and sacrifice, drawing from occult symbolism and the quiet intensity of worship without identity. This piece isn’t about performance or spectacle — it’s about presence, submission, and the weight of belief carried in silence.
This artwork is created using traditional wood burning and pyrography, completed entirely by hand from start to finish. The artist redraws the composition freehand for every burn — never traced, never laser-cut, never mechanically transferred. Even when revisiting similar subject matter, no two executions are ever the same. Variations in line density, burn depth, and texture ensure each finished piece is a singular physical original.
Burned into solid basswood using a handheld pyrography tool, this piece required 25+ hours of focused, uninterrupted labor. The natural grain of the wood actively shapes the final result, influencing each burn line in ways that cannot be controlled or replicated. This is not a print, not a reproduction, and not digitally assisted — it is permanent wood burning art etched directly into the surface.
Offered in a 12” × 18” format, with framing options available in Black, White, or Brown, Sleep Token carries a dark, commanding presence suited for studios, private collections, music spaces, or gallery walls. It’s meant to be studied — not casually observed.
No machines.
No shortcuts.
No replicas.
Only disciplined pyrography burned into wood.
