This artwork is created using traditional wood burning and pyrography, combined with selective hand-applied paint accents. Every composition is redrawn freehand for the burn — never traced, never laser-cut, never mechanically transferred. Even with recurring themes, no two pieces are ever the same. Variations in burn depth, line texture, and paint application ensure each finished work exists as a singular physical original.
Burned into solid basswood using a handheld pyrography tool, this piece required extensive, uninterrupted hours of focused labor. The natural grain of the wood actively shapes the final result, interacting with both the burned lines and painted elements in ways that cannot be replicated or controlled. The paint is applied sparingly to heighten emotional impact without overpowering the wood burning itself.
