Trilogy of the Cunning is an original, one-of-one artwork drawn freehand and burned entirely by hand on basswood. The composition explores perception, duality, and instinct through three interwoven faces—each expression emerging from the same form, yet carrying its own presence and intent.
This piece was created using traditional pyrography techniques from start to finish. The design was conceived from imagination and drawn directly onto the wood without tracing or templates, then burned line by line by hand over the course of 25+ hours. No machines, lasers, CNC processes, or mechanical reproduction methods are used at any stage.
While themes or ideas may be revisited in future works, each artwork is always redrawn from scratch. Because of the entirely manual process, no two pieces are ever identical. Every completed work is a physically unique original with its own variations, detail, and character.
The artwork is created on basswood, chosen for its natural grain and ability to capture intricate line work and depth. The finished piece measures 12” × 18” and is available with a white, black, or brown frame, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into a variety of environments.
Trilogy of the Cunning is intended as a statement piece—created for collectors, creative spaces, studios, and homes where original, artist-driven work is valued for its craftsmanship, individuality, and permanence.
